Michael Oren,Israeli Ambassador to the US visited the Colbert Report last night. While, for the most part the interview was pretty tame, Colbert wrapped up (around 8 minutes in) by telling the Israel Ambassador:
“I repudiate everything Helen Thomas said - go back to Poland, go back to Germany - that’s ridiculous. Israel is for Israelis. If anything, Palestinians show back to where they came from…”
wow. awkward silence. in-context kind-of shocking and brilliantly executed by Colbert.
